4. List examples of infant care you saw in the video. What similarities are there between chimps and humans?
5. Discuss any chimp deceptive behavior you saw in the video. How does it compare with human deceptive behavior?
6. Discuss predatory behavior in chimps. How does it compare with that of humans?
7. Curiosity is the desire to know and it has always been associated with humans. Jane Goodall’s research shows that chimps can also be curious. After watching the video discuss and list example of curiosity among chimps.
8. Discuss, compare and list some of the many ways in which human and chimp males display their ego
9. What are the reasons for anger, aggression, or violence among chimps? How do the reasons compare with those that drive humans to anger, aggression or violence?
10. Alloparenting is the behavior whereby other people besides parents hold, carry or interact with babies/infants. Discuss examples of alloparenting among chimps. How does it compare with that of humans?
2. After you watch the video, you will realize that these are interesting questions. Before you answer them, try to create in your mind a vivid, enthusiastic and in-depth answer to your question. You’ll need to do some extra preparation to achieve that. For instance, go online (use databases or the internet) to do some research on the question that either supports or contradicts the ideas you have taken from Among the Wild Chimpanzees.
